• Worked with Government and the private sector represented by
commercial banks on the establishment of the first secondary mortgage
market institution in Mongolia since June 2005
• Led and assisted the commercial banks in a series of inception meetings
which culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) in March 2006
• Led the MoU signatories through the Founding Meeting and the first
Shareholders Meeting, which resulted in the establishment of the
Mongolian Mortgage Corporation (MIK)
• Managed and developed MIK's Business Plan, which outlines the
business model and longer term strategies
• Presented MIK's Business Plan among shareholder banks and
successfully raised MNT 2 billion in MIK's further capitalization
• Presented MIK's Business Plan to IFIs which resulted in on-going
negotiations with IFIs to raise potentially USD 33 mln in liquidity, USD
20 mln in credit enhancement and USD 1.3 mln in technical assistance
for MIK
• Set MIK up and running from a green field and managed all day-to-day
activities , including MIK's identity, staff recruitment, website, office
